Moodswing is an album by jazz musician Joshua Redman. His music to me has elements that lead me to the north of my country.
Here you have large spaces mixed up with tiny villages, a few towns and only few cities.
My photos from the north come from all three provinces, Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe.
From the eastern parts of Drenthe are the photos of the former WWII camp Westerbork, the dolmen at Borger in sun and snow and the museum village Orvelte.
From Drenthe's western area I present some photos made in touristic Dwingeloo and it's surroundings.
While most of this area is sand-area, the photos made in Hijkersmilde show another topic: long straight stretching canals with houses lined along.
