I visited Avignon in the height of summer, during the yearly music and art festival.
So I guess my images do not do right to the Avignon atmosphere in other months than july.
Nevertheless the july-atmosphere is a quit vivid one, with artists everywhere in town, in theaters and on the street.
Everywhere you'll find posters sticked to everything that you can stick posters onto.
Apart from the festival, Avignon is a famous city because of the large Popal Palace, and the Bénezet bridge that only spans halfway the Rhone river.
The forces of the water have demolished the western half of the bridge.
