I visited Slovakia for the first time in the mid 1980s when the couintry was part of communist Czechoslovakia.
Many things have changed since those days.
The economy is booming and the new capital city of Bratislava is a modern central european city, charming and alive.
My photos are almost all made in the old town and on the Castle Hill, that actually was part of the old town once.
A modern highway from communist times split the two central areas.
