This series in my New York Special has photos from the southern tip: Battery Park and surroundings.
This is the place where New York City started and the place where until september 2001 the Twin Towers ranked as the tallest of New yorks buildings.
A few photos are from before 2001. Most photos show New York and it's new skyline the way you can see it today. Ground Zero is still a construction site.
