 The Algarve is the sunny southern strip of Portugal. The Atlantic breaks high upon the snadstone cliffs and forms worderful shaped coves with sandy beaches and rocky columns. The Algarve is Portugal most touristic hot spot. Just off the coast are many small and picturesque villages, such as Alte and Silves, a former capital of Portugal. A large castle rememebers that era.
